Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami is a foremost Pakistani journalist and columnist, serving as Chief Editor of Daily Pakistan and hosting the influential talk show Nuqta e Nazar on Dunya News. A scion of a Punjabi Shaikh family, he has enriched the media landscape by founding Zindagi Magazine and Qaumi Digest, and his perceptive columns are featured every Sunday in Daily Dunya and Daily Pakistan, as well as in esteemed Urdu dailies such as Nawa-i-Waqt and Daily Jang. His exemplary leadership is further affirmed by his multiple tenures as President and Secretary General of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors, alongside his roles as President of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society and the Pakistan chapter of the South Asia Free Media Association. In recognition of his distinguished contributions to journalism, he was honored with the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in 1993 and the Hilal-i-Imtiaz in 2023.
